The Story of Seagulls
(Put the mouse on each photo. You can jump to the larger one. It takes long to download. Please wait.)

These photos were taken near the Shioyazaki Lighthouse, which was built in December, 1899.
As we saw many seagulls at the beach, we decided to feed them.

We went to the kitchen of the inn to ask for leftovers. We ate delicious sashimi
last night. Maybe, we can treat the birds to a gorgeous lunch. The cook kindly gave us a
bucket of the guts, bones and others.

We placed the food but the birds did not come near. Finally, we hid ourselves behind a
large rock and waited for the guests.
Look! In a moment flocks of seagulls
began nose diving.

The birds were all absorbed in eating and did not try to run away any more. The girl is my
daughter(9 years old at that time).
